Talked to my aunt about her first house in 1998 and the numbers were wild

Yeah, it feels like the goalposts keep moving for our whole generation. You do everything they said, go to school, work hard, but the basic life stuff your parents had just costs ten times more now. It's not just houses, it's everything from daycare to a used car. The math doesn't work on normal salaries anymore, so people are burning out or leaning on family help just to hit the starting line. It really does break your spirit when you play by the old rules and still can't win.

Always thought a brick wall needed a full day to set before you could point it.

Four hours? Did they test that in a real summer or just in some lab? I've seen mortar that was still soft at lunchtime on a humid day. The idea of pointing that early feels like asking for trouble, like trying to write your name in wet concrete.

TIL the library in Springfield has a free 'Intro to Python' workshop every Saturday.

Forget cheat sheets, you just gotta bang your head against the code until it works lol.

Bought a 'digital hoof angle finder' app for my phone a few years back

Spent way too much on a useless phone level.

PSA: I switched from a standard steamer to a nano-mist steamer for extractions

Got a stubborn callus on my palm from lifting weights. Running hot water over it for a few minutes made it way easier to file down. The steam from a hot shower does the same thing for my face before I shave. What do you do when you need to soften up rough skin?
