Pro tip: A viewer called my video reviews 'sterile' and it stung, but they were right.

They said my voice was flat and I just read specs, so now I always use the gadget for a full week before filming. Honestly, my last review of the Garmin Instinct 2X was way better because I could talk about the battery actually lasting 28 days. Do you think showing real use is more important than just listing features?

Real use beats specs every time" - thats a good way to put it, @leor37. But I gotta gently push back on the "nobody cares about the numbers" part. I think people want both. Like if you tell me a watch lasts 28 days but dont show me what that actually means on day 27 with the battery at 2%, then the number is just a number. I need to see you living with it to trust the spec. So yeah, real use is way more important, but the specs still matter as a starting point. Otherwise you just get a vibe review with no real info.

Haha yeah, real use beats specs every time. Nobody cares about the numbers if the thing sucks to actually live with.

Good question though - what kind of living with it makes you trust the numbers? Like is it day to day stuff or more about edge cases when things go sideways?
