Rant: This notebook I found has pages of plant sketches with odd labels
I mean, I grabbed it from a bin at a yard sale, and it's full of pencil drawings of weeds and flowers. Each one has notes in messy writing, part English and part what I guess is Latin names. Idk, I've picked up a few plant ids from looking them up online, which is neat, but the handwriting is tough. Maybe it's just me, but any advice on reading old script or where to check those names?

Have you tried looking up the Latin bits online with a plant database? Old handwriting can be a real headache, my aunt has letters from my great-grandmother that are just impossible to decipher. Maybe take a clear photo of a page and post it on a subreddit for gardeners or handwriting help, those folks love a puzzle. It sounds like a cool find though, like a little piece of someone's hobby lost in a bin.
