Unpopular opinion: I think we overcharge for simple sympathy arrangements.

I was talking to a friend whose mom passed, and she said the $85 basic white lily basket felt like a tax on grief. That hit me hard because I've always just followed the shop price sheet. Are we losing touch with the real reason people buy flowers?

Honestly, how many of us have a real policy for those simple, sad orders? I get what @johnson.adam did, but tbh, giving stuff away isn't a plan either. We should probably set a small, fair price for a single stem in a vase so it's easy to do the right thing. It feels bad to know the price itself is adding to someone's hurt.

Yeah, that's a tough spot. I mean, we had a customer last year who just wanted a single rose in a simple vase for her friend's service. The system said $45 minimum. I just charged her cost plus ten bucks, like $22 total. She cried when she picked it up. Sometimes the right thing isn't on the price sheet. Maybe keep a few plain glass vases around for those moments, you know?
