That one critique about my jacket seams changed my whole pattern process
A lady at a craft fair told me my jacket collars looked like they were trying to escape the rest of the coat. I went home and switched from a standard 5/8 inch seam to a 3/8 inch seam on the collar and lining, and now everything lays flat. Has anyone else had a random comment from a stranger completely shift how you sew?

Goodness, I have to try that! Never thought seam width could cause such a difference.

Honestly, I had the same "aha" moment when I first tried it. It's wild how such a tiny adjustment can totally change how a project hangs or fits together. Really glad you're giving it a shot, it's one of those things you just have to see for yourself.
