Vent: My neighbor's cat versus my motion sensor light

For months, my porch light would flick on at 3 AM sharp, waking me up. I thought it was a raccoon or something, so I adjusted the sensor angle down. It kept happening. Last Tuesday, I finally caught the culprit: Mr. Whiskers from next door, sitting perfectly still on the fence post, just within the sensor's range. I moved the sensor a foot to the left, and now it only lights up for actual people. Has anyone else had a pet trigger their security stuff?

Absolutely not, telling them just starts needless drama. Sometimes it's better to let small things go instead of turning your street into a war zone. You have to live next to these people, so why make it tense over every little issue? Keeping the peace is worth more than being right all the time. Some battles just aren't worth fighting.
