My neighbor's story about a missing sock made me question my whole reality

I was talking to my neighbor Dave yesterday while we were both taking out the trash. He said he lost a single black sock two months ago and just found it in his freezer, still in a ball from the dryer. He swears he never put it there and his wife didn't either. It got me thinking about all the tiny, weird stuff that happens that we just shrug off. Like, how many times have you found something in a place that makes zero sense? I'm starting to think our houses have little glitches in the system. Has anyone else had an object just show up somewhere completely impossible?

You have to laugh about the freezer sock thing because it reminds me of the time I found my car keys inside a hardcover book on a shelf I never use. The book was about gardening and I don't even own plants, so there's no way it was a normal mistake. It's like our stuff gets bored and just teleports when we aren't looking.

The dryer probably just flung it in there.

My old apartment key showed up inside a sealed box of cereal. I had lost it a year before and never bought that brand. Stuff like that makes you wonder if we notice one percent of the weirdness that actually happens.
