Just hit 10,000 service calls and the last one was a guy stuck with his pet parrot

I was looking at my logbook yesterday and realized I crossed into five digits on jobs. The call that put me over was to a downtown office building where a guy got in with his big blue macaw. Bird got spooked, flew up into the cab ceiling, and the guy wouldn't leave without it. Took me an hour to coax it down with some crackers from the lobby cafe. Anyone else have a weird one that marked a big number for them?

My 5,000th was a lost wedding ring in a sewer grate. Took three hours with a shop vac and a magnet. @claire992 is right about food working, but sometimes you need the right tools. That parrot story is a good one for the books. Makes you wonder what the 20,000th call will be.

Yeah crackers are the universal peace offering for scared animals. Had a similar thing with a cat in a tree once, used tuna from a sandwich.
