My neighbor said 'just replace the whole board' when his TV went out. That got me thinking about repair philosophy.

My own repair philosophy is just staring at the broken thing until I get a headache. I once spent a whole weekend trying to fix a toaster, only to learn it was just unplugged.

A whole weekend on a toaster is a new level of commitment. I would have given up after the first hour and just eaten cold bread. The fact you didn't check the plug for two entire days is honestly impressive in a tragic way. That's the kind of focus that could probably solve world hunger, just aimed at the wrong problem.

Wait, wasn't it unplugged the whole time though?
