Just looked up how much the CEO of the company that owns my apartment complex makes
I found this annual report from their investor relations page and the CEO pulled in $4.2 million last year while they just raised my rent $150 a month for 'building improvements' that still haven't happened. The laundry room has had a broken dryer for 6 weeks now. Has anyone else dug into their landlord's executive pay and gotten mad?

$4.2 million while your dryer is broken for six weeks is honestly insane. That's like they're taking your rent money and just lighting it on fire while telling you the smoke is a building improvement. I'd be printing out that annual report and taping it to the broken dryer.

Have you actually tried calling the city's housing inspection department? @susan_nguyen seriously though, print out that report and tape it to the dryer like you said. Then call the city health department and file a complaint about the broken appliance. Landlords only fix stuff when the city makes them. Also send a copy of the annual report to the city with your complaint so they see the building has money. That 4.2 million profit means they can afford to fix it yesterday. Keep every email and text you send them about the dryer so you have proof.
