inWatched a new hire zip through a removal with a Silky Gomtaro and felt like a dinosaur
Yeah, the "felt like a dinosaur" part hits home. I used a corded drill for years because it was a tank, refused to give it up. Watching someone put up a shelf in half the time with a little impact driver was a real wake up call. I was over there sounding like a angry bee hive for no good reason. Sometimes you just get stuck in your ways with a tool that gets the job done, even if it's the hard way.

inI finally bought a proper salon chair for my home studio
Yeah, that recall was for over a million chairs from a few brands a couple years back. The gas cylinder can wear out or fail, which is the part that actually controls the height. @olivias88, the easiest check is to see if your chair slowly sinks when you sit in it, that's the first sign. If it does, you can order a replacement cylinder online for way less than a new chair. Just make sure to get the right size for your model. Honestly, a lot of office chairs are built to have that part swapped out when it goes.

inVent: Remember when you had to debug without Stack Overflow? Those days shaped real problem solvers.
Those giant printed manuals taught me more about patience than programming ever could.

inMy mentor told me to always use a separate, clean spatula for each client's mask jar, and after seeing a breakout from cross-contamination at a spa in Tempe, I get it now.
Ugh, even pillowcases get gross and people forget those too.

inI finally got a clean weld on that old anvil stand by using a piece of copper pipe as a backer.
three failed attempts" seems like overkill for a stand
