Finally cracked 100 sales on my Etsy stickers this week, and I still have no clue what I'm doing

I started selling dumb joke stickers back in March just for fun, and somehow I hit 100 orders yesterday. The wild part is my best seller is a drawing of a possum eating a slice of pizza, which I made in like 10 minutes. Meanwhile the fancy multicolor designs I spent hours on barely moved. I guess the internet just likes weird stuff. Has anyone else had a random design take off while their "real" work flops?

Oh man, that possum sticker sounds like a winner! I swear it's always the lazy doodles that hit. My weirdest seller is a cat with toast on its head that I drew while half asleep. Meanwhile my detailed portraits just sit there.

I actually read somewhere that the stuff we overthink usually flops because we kill the charm trying to make it perfect, and the quick sketches keep that raw energy people like. Your possum sticker sounds exactly like that kind of thing, the one you don't try on ends up having the most personality. It's like the algorithm gods just know when you're trying too hard and punish you for it.

No way. A possum eating pizza? That's actually amazing. I'd buy that. 100 sales is legit though. Especially if you started in March. Its wild how the stuff you dont try hard on ends up being the winner. The universe just has a weird sense of humor I guess. Keep making those dumb stickers.
