Serious question about that book club debate on historical fiction vs non-fiction

Man, a whole debate over which book is more honest?

Bookmarked a howling dog sound effect page back in 2017 and it actually got my neighbors dog to shut up last night

Honestly, this is how half of life's problems get solved, just with random tabs you left open years ago. It's crazy how the most niche stuff ends up being the exact tool you need way later.

Finally got my tent seams sealed after 2 rainy trips

Reminds me of the time my buddy tried to redo his truck seats and skipped that step. Ended up looking like a Jackson Pollock painting. Good call @blairm44, degreasing is the unsung hero of upholstery work.

I finally realized my lost cat flyers were all wrong after a woman at the laundromat in Salem pointed it out

Whoa, a buddy of mine in Portland had the exact same thing happen with her missing dog. She had "REWARD" in this tiny cursive font and offered like $100, and nobody called for weeks. Her neighbor's kid was like "I can't even read that from the sidewalk." She redid them with a bright yellow background and "$1,000 REWARD" in two inch tall block letters with a tear-off strip. She got a call the next day from a guy who found the dog in his toolshed. I guess the takeaway is people are more likely to stop and look if they think there's a real chunk of cash waiting for them.

I finally stopped using compressed air to clean power supplies after a spark hit my face

Saw a guy on YouTube mention that half the time those cheap sprayers have seals that were already toast before they left the factory, not from the user. @skyler_craig you might be onto something about the compressed air too, seems like a common shortcut that backfires.
