Serious question, has anyone here pumped through a sandbar that kept shifting?

I was working a job near Mobile Bay last month and we had this sandbar that kept moving every time we stopped for the night. Over three weeks, the spot we cleared would be back to 8 feet deep by morning. Did you just have to run the dredge nonstop, or is there a way to anchor the material elsewhere?

Oh man, that sounds like a nightmare. I've had sandbars mess with my timeline before but nothing that aggressive. Seems like the current in Mobile Bay is just carrying it right back in. Maybe look into a jetty or some kind of temporary wall to push the flow elsewhere?

Read a Coast Guard report saying those currents shift sandbars overnight down there.
