Just finished a zine about my dad's old garage in Cleveland, all drawn with a single blue ballpoint pen

Wow, that's such a cool way to capture a memory. The single pen choice makes it feel really focused and personal, like a direct line to that place. It sounds like a special project.

I read about an artist who did something like this with a single pencil for a whole sketchbook. The limitation forces you to really see the texture and weight of each line. You stop thinking about switching tools and just focus on what's in front of you. It becomes more about the act of looking than the final drawing. That direct line feeling is because your hand learns the exact pressure of that one pen on that paper. The memory gets tied to the physical feel of the tool.
