Found an old screenshot edit from 2012 on my hard drive
I was cleaning out files last night and came across a screenshot I'd cropped badly and drawn red arrows all over to point at nothing important. My friend saw it and asked why I'd even saved it, and I realized I used to think every random moment needed documentation. Has anyone else gone back and cringed at their old editing attempts?

Oh man, "drawn red arrows all over to point at nothing important" - I feel that so hard. My old edits had bright yellow circles and terrible arrows, but I was dead serious about them at the time. Here's the fix that saved me from myself: start using basic folders on your computer like "oldschool cringe" or "stuff to laugh at later." That way you don't delete everything in shame, but you also stop treating random screenshots like gold. Have you tried just making a messy archive folder and forgetting about it for a few years?

Oh gosh, that archive folder trick is gold honestly. I once spent an entire weekend organizing my old gaming clips into perfect folders by year and game, then realized I'd never watch them again. So I just threw them all in a folder called "2014 mess" and forgot about it for like six years. Tbh, when I finally opened it last month, it was actually fun to see my awful arrow drawings from when I tried to make tutorial videos. It's way better than deleting everything in a fit of embarrassment.
