Thought drywall mudding would take an afternoon, six weekends later I finally finished
I started patching a hole in my living room wall around 2pm on a Saturday. Figured I'd be done by dinner, right? Well, the first coat was too thick and cracked, then I had to sand and redo it three times because I kept leaving ridges. By the time I got the texture to match the rest of the wall, it had been a month and a half. Has anyone else had a "quick fix" turn into a whole project?

Feel your pain. That one hole turned into a whole new hobby.
