That old Geocities page about building a treehouse from 1998

I messaged the guy who made it and he actually replied telling me the treehouse still stands in his backyard in Ohio... has anyone else ever tracked down the person behind an old site and heard back?

Did your friend find the guy's contact info on the page itself or did you have to dig through archives? My buddy Mark once emailed the creator of a site about restoring a 1970s Volkswagen van. The guy had a blog with step by step photos and a faded email. He replied two days later from the same address, still had the van in his garage but said the engine was seized. Sent us a picture of it covered in dust and boxes.
