Found a link to a site that turned my whole screen into a haunted Windows 95 desktop
Clicked a random archive link from someone's Angelfire page and it loaded a full fake desktop with creepy popup boxes and a skeleton cursor - felt like 1999 all over again. Does anyone know if there's a directory of stuff like this from the Geocities days?

Notice the same thing happening with music and fashion too. My daughter wears stuff now that I had in high school and thinks it's brand new. It's like we keep circling back to the same ideas just with better technology and different names. Even home decorating trends seem to recycle every 20 years or so. Makes you wonder if there's actually anything truly original left to create anymore.
