Found a Geocities page from 1997 that still has a working guestbook

Was digging through some old bookmarks on a backup drive from 2009 and stumbled onto a Geocities page about someone's pet iguana. The site is mostly broken images and Comic Sans but the guestbook at the bottom still let me leave a comment. It even showed the last entry was from 2003. Has anyone else found a page from that era that still works?

lol thats wild. the fact that the guestbook still works is honestly incredible, most of those things broke ages ago. kinda makes you wonder if anyone else will leave a comment now or if it'll just sit there forever.

Wait wait wait, you said the last entry was from 2003? That's like over 20 years ago. idk why but that hit me harder than I expected. I mean, someone sat down back then with their dial-up internet, wrote something about a lizard, and now it's just frozen in time like a digital time capsule. The fact that the guestbook still functions at all is honestly nuts, most of those old scripts got abandoned or just broke when servers changed. I bet the person who made the site has no idea people can still see their iggy's old homepage. It's kind of haunting in a way, like a ghost in the machine.
