Warning: my 'fast' internet in Da Nang turned into a 56k modem flashback
Got here a month ago, the wifi was fine for video calls. Then last Tuesday, it just died. I mean, the router light was on, but my speed test showed 0.5 Mbps. My client in Berlin asked if I was 'using a potato to stream data'. Turns out, the building's whole line got chewed through by rats. They fixed it after two days, but man, those 48 hours were a trip back to dial-up tones and loading bars. Anyone else had their digital life wrecked by local wildlife?

Oh man, I feel that pain. When my line went down last year, I bought one of those little portable wifi hotspot gadgets from the telecom shop. It saved my skin for a few days. I just popped a prepaid data sim in it and got enough signal to send big files and hop on calls. It wasn't perfect, but it beat sitting in a noisy cafe all day trying to work.

Okay but was it really that bad? Two days without good internet feels like a minor hassle, not a crisis. You could have used your phone data or gone to a cafe. People act like a slow connection is the end of the world, but you managed to post this, right? It got fixed, life goes on.
