My $200 lesson about airport lounge passes in Bangkok

I bought a fancy lounge pass online for Suvarnabhumi Airport, thinking I'd get a quiet spot to work for my 6 hour layover. Turns out the 'premium lounge' was just a crowded room with slow wifi and the same instant noodles you get outside. I could have saved the cash and just worked from a cafe in the terminal. Anyone know a good, actually quiet spot to work in that airport?

That lounge situation sounds rough, but maybe the cafe idea isn't much better. The terminal cafes get super loud with boarding calls. For a real quiet spot, have you tried the prayer rooms? They're not for working, but the areas near them on the upper floors are often empty and silent. Way better than fighting for an outlet in a crowded food court.

Yeah, the upper floor near the prayer rooms is a total hidden gem. I got stuck there once during a delay and found a whole row of open seats with actual power outlets. It was so much better than dealing with the lounge chaos downstairs.
