Tried boosting a client's FB ad with only video content for a month

I run a small bakery account in Austin and heard video was king so I ditched all still photos for 30 days straight. The engagement tanked 40% and my client's mom actually called me complaining the cupcakes looked blurry. Anyone else had a total flop when you went all-in on a 'proven' strategy?

Tried the same thing last year with a local coffee shop. Lost 25% of our engagement in two weeks. Video works but not for everything. For baked goods, people want to see the texture and detail. Static shots with good lighting still crush it for food accounts.

Mixing static shots with short video clips worked way better for me.
