Wasted $80 on a VPN that barely worked on my home network
I bought a year of SuperSecure VPN last month because they had a flashy ad about blocking trackers. It slowed my speed down to like 5 Mbps and kept disconnecting my Xbox mid-game. Customer support just sent me generic copy-paste replies and dodged my refund requests. Has anyone else gotten burned by those hyped up VPN services?

SuperSecure VPN" yeah I remember seeing their ads everywhere. Heard from a tech YouTuber that a lot of these flashy VPNs use shared servers with zero bandwidth. Basically just selling hype. Your Xbox disconnect issue is a dead giveaway they overload their network.
Customer support dodging refunds is their whole business model probably. Got burned by one called "ShieldMax" last year. Same slow speeds and dropped connections. They only replied after I threatened a chargeback with my bank. That's the only way to get your money back with these companies.
Never trust a VPN that promises too much in the ads. The good ones are boring and don't advertise like that.

Used to think all VPNs were basically the same but this kind of story is changing my mind. I almost bought SuperSecure during their last sale because the ads looked legit, but hearing about the disconnects and refund dodging seals it for me. Your mileage may vary, but I'm glad I waited and saw this first.
