My cousin told me to skip pre-shrinking the shirt blanks before printing
I thought he was crazy since I always pre-shrink cotton tees. Just finished a rush order of 50 shirts for a local 5k race and after the first wash they all shrunk a full size. Anyone else stick to pre-shrinking no matter what?

Exactly. "Let's just skip the pre-shrink" is how you end up with 50 shirts nobody can wear. I learned that the same hard way and never skip it either.

You used to be able to get away with skipping it on some blends but not on 100% cotton. That rush order story is exactly what changed my mind too. Lost a whole batch of hoodies that way about two years back when a customer wanted them fast. Nothing worse than handing over perfectly printed shirts only to have them come back looking like they belonged to someone else. These days I pre-shrink everything and just build the time into my quotes.
