Lost $60 on a batch of shirts because I skipped the test print

Thought I could save time by just trusting the ink colors on screen from my supplier's site. Came out looking like mustard when I wanted gold, total waste of 15 blanks. Anyone else get burned trusting digital previews over real test prints?

My supplier Pantones are usually pretty close for me. I ordered a batch of "midnight blue" hoodies last month from ScreenPrint Pro and they matched the website swatch perfectly, so I trusted them for a rush job on 50 tees and only one shade was off by a hair. Maybe your ink supplier has bad color calibration on their end, or your screen brightness is tricking you. I've saved hundreds skipping test prints on repeat orders with reliable vendors.

Only one shade was off by a hair" - man that hair must be the size of a spaghetti strand if you're calling mustard and gold close. Screw it, maybe I'll just start selling "artisan mustard tees" and rebrand as a hipster.
