Was a hard no on load cells until last month
I always trusted my gut on picking up heavy stuff, but after nearly tipping a 40 ton crawler on a muddy job outside Houston I finally installed a load indicator system. That thing caught a 3,500 lb swing imbalance I would never have felt. Has anyone else had a close call that made them switch up their old habits?

My cousin swore by his gut too till a boom swing knocked his hard hat clean off.

Got a scar on his chin that still goes numb when it rains so he definitely learned the hard way. @maryadams sounds like your cousin was one of those old-timers who thinks gear is for beginners. Bet he wears his hard hat every second now, right?
