Vent: The foreman who told me to 'just wing it' on a 50 ton pick

Guy from a site in Medford told me it was fine to skip the load chart and 'feel it out' after 2 beers at lunch, and I still think about that every time I see a crane tipped on the news.

How did that guy even get into that line of work with that kind of attitude? It's scary how one bad call from someone who should know better can stick with you for years. You did the right thing trusting your gut instead of his beer-fueled nonsense.

Wait, did Adam say something was beer-fueled? I thought the guy was just kinda grumpy, not actually drunk on the job. Not trying to be picky but I don't remember that detail from the story.
