Tried a vintage lattice boom attachment on a 40 year old crawler last month and got smoother swings than my newer hydraulic setup
Slapped it on for a parking garage job in downtown Cleveland and the load barely drifted at all, has anyone else seen better control from older gear?

Yeah because nothing says "precision control" like 40 year old steel held together with rust and prayers. You probably got smoother swings because the old boom weighs as much as a small moon and inertia did all the work. Next you'll tell me your flip phone takes better pictures than an iPhone.

Oh, @cameron770, you almost had a point until you brought flip phones into it. My old Nokia could survive a 40 foot drop and still take a fuzzy picture of my cat that somehow looked more nostalgic than anything my current phone spits out. The rust and prayers thing is funny though, I'll give you that.
