Tried a luffing jib on a tight city job vs a standard lattice boom. Night and day difference.
We were setting AC units on a roof in downtown Nashville last month, barely any room to swing. My partner wanted to stick with our usual lattice boom, but I pushed for the luffing jib since we could adjust the angle without moving the whole rig. Ended up cutting our setup time by almost 2 hours cause we didn't have to keep repositioning the crane. Has anyone else run into a situation where the fancy attachment actually saved your butt?

Blew my budget on a luffing jib and then spent the whole first job just staring at it like a confused golden retriever.

Oh come on @lily574, a luffing jib is just a fancy waste of money when you could've gotten the job done with a basic boom and some good old fashioned rope work. You basically paid extra to confuse yourself and look clueless on site.
