Shoutout to the older lady at the library who called me a 'computer doctor'
She brought in a laptop from 2012 that wouldn't boot, and when I fixed it by reseating the RAM she said, 'You fixed it just like that, you're a real doctor for these things!' Has anyone else had a customer give you a nickname that stuck?

Computer doctor" is so good, but a laptop from 2012? That thing is practically a museum piece. I'm shocked it even made it to the library in one piece.

Calling a 2012 laptop a museum piece is a bit harsh. Those older machines can still handle basic web browsing and word processing just fine. What do you use for simple tasks?

Honestly, I gotta disagree with the whole "museum piece" thing. A 2012 laptop is still totally usable if you're not trying to run the latest games or edit 4K video. I use an old Dell from that era as my backup machine for checking email and writing documents, and it works just fine. Ngl, most people don't need a new computer for basic tasks like that. Tbh, those older machines are often built tougher than the flimsy new ones.
