Hot take: Surface comms during dives. I thought they were just noise, but getting lost in a wreck changed my mind. Now I won't dive without a clear line to topside. Silent focus or constant chat?

What about losing focus with too much chatter? Sometimes the silence helps me think clearer down there.

Got lost in low viz once, and surface comms guided me out. Now I prefer regular check-ins over total silence.
