Just realized I was overthinking CSS layouts for months
I spent like 3 months fighting with float-based layouts for a client project in Phoenix, constantly using weird hacks to get things lined up. Then last week I finally sat down and learned Flexbox properly, and I redid the whole thing in about 2 hours. It was one of those moments where I felt dumb for not trying it sooner, but also super relieved. Has anyone else had a specific CSS property just click for them after struggling?

Jumped into building my shed last spring and spent two weekends fighting with an old bubble level trying to get the foundation perfectly flat. Kept adjusting and re-adjusting, getting frustrated. Then I borrowed my neighbor's laser level and finished the framing in one afternoon. It reminded me how often we stick with the difficult way because that's what we know, when the real fix is just learning the better tool. Sometimes the hardest part is admitting there's an easier way and giving yourself permission to go learn it.

@beth_hunt oh man, that's way too real. I spent an entire weekend once trying to level a patio with a string line before a buddy showed me a rotary laser and I had it done in 20 minutes. Felt like such a goof for not just asking sooner.
