That $200 coolant pump I bought off eBay died in 3 weeks

I thought I was being smart saving money on a used coolant pump for my Haas mill. Paid $200 for it and it worked great for about 15 days. Then it started making this grinding noise and just quit. Took it apart and found the bearings were shot and there was metal shavings all through it. Anyone else had bad luck buying used pumps or am I just unlucky?

Did you buy the "premium used" or the "barely used used"?

Oh man, that stinks. A buddy of mine did the same thing with a pump for a Bridgeport, thought he scored a deal. It lasted like a month and then just seized up completely. He was pretty mad about it too, said never again with used pumps.
