That solar panel install at my local library changed my mind about community projects

I used to think big solar farms were the only way to go. Fast ROI, professional installs, all that. Then last spring my town put panels on the library roof with a volunteer crew. Took 4 weekends. The system's only 15 kilowatts but the librarian told me it cut their electric bill by $200 a month. Plus people actually walk by and ask about it. I was skeptical but seeing neighbors learn how to wire inverters changed my view. Has anyone else seen a small scale project outperform expectations?

Read a study recently that said community solar projects actually have higher satisfaction rates than commercial ones. People feel more invested when they help build it.

Funny enough my neighborhood did something similar with a community garden shed last year... we put a little 2kw setup on it just to run lights and a pump and it's been running for 18 months with zero issues.
