Finally got my first community solar panel installed after 8 months of waiting

I was at my apartment complex parking lot last Tuesday when the installation crew showed up two hours late and realized they forgot the mounting brackets for the flat roof. Had to drive 45 minutes back to their warehouse to grab the right parts while I just stood there watching my neighbor's dog chase pigeons. Anyone else run into weird supply chain hiccups with solar setups lately?

Oh man, I totally get this! I used to think solar was just plug-and-play but after watching my own install take three separate visits because of missing parts (and a drill battery dying mid-mount), I've got a lot more patience for these hiccups now.

They probably had the brackets sitting next to the coffee pot back at the warehouse and nobody thought to grab them. The supply chain hiccups are real, I had a guy show up with the wrong inverter and tried to convince me it was an "upgrade" because it was a different color. I keep waiting for the day an installer shows up with everything they need on the first try, but I'm starting to think that's just a fairy tale. Your install sounds like it came with a free comedy show courtesy of the neighbor's dog though.
