Found a loophole for property tax appeals in Mecklenburg County
I compared my tax assessment to three similar houses sold within two blocks last month and caught a $12,000 overvaluation. Submitted a quick protest with comps pulled from the county site and got a 5% reduction in 3 weeks. Has anyone else gotten results from doing this themselves instead of hiring a lawyer?
