Stretch-in job turned into a seam blowout in Portland

Tbh I had a customer call me back three weeks after a living room install because the seam split right down the middle of the doorway. Turns out the pad underneath had a crease I missed during the power stretch, and the carpet was too tight for the humidity swing. I had to pull it up, re-pad that section, and restretch the whole room for free. Now I run a straight edge over every pad seam twice before I even lay the carpet, has anyone else had this creep up on them?
