Walked into a meeting with my resume from 2015 and got called out immediately

Last Tuesday I showed up for an interview at a marketing firm in Austin and handed over my old resume. The hiring manager looks at it and goes "did you really list Macromedia Flash as a skill?" I froze because I hadn't updated that thing in like 8 years. It had my old college GPA and a reference from a boss who retired in 2017 too. I honestly thought nobody would notice but they read every line. Has anyone else had an old resume come back to bite them like this?

Nail the interview and laugh off the old resume, it's just banter.

Is it really that big of a deal though? Like yeah you listed some old software but the hiring manager was probably just messing with you to see how you react. A resume from 2015 is a little dusty but it's not like you committed a crime especially if you were just trying to get your foot in the door. Marketing folks love to act like they caught you in some huge lie but half the time they're just bored. If you've got the skills for the job now nobody actually cares about Macromedia Flash from a decade ago. Worst case you just laugh it off and say "yeah I should probably update that" and move on with the interview.
