Bootstrapped vs. took VC money for my Toronto SaaS last year
I went with bootstrapping and hit 50k MRR but growth is slow. My buddy took $500k from a VC and is scaling fast - who made the right call here?

Caught a podcast about this exact thing a few weeks back. A founder from Kitchener Waterloo was saying bootstrapped is brutal at first but you keep full control and your margins stay yours. The VC path can be a double edged sword though. I know someone who took money and then had to hit crazy growth targets that forced them into a bad acquisition. Slow and steady with your own cash might feel painful right now but you're building something real. Different lanes for different goals I guess.

Right on, @baker.phoenix. Bootstrapped is painful but you own every win.
