My neighbor mentioned his Coleman stove has the same fuel line as his old lantern
He said it saved him a bunch of hassle on a trip to the Olympic Peninsula last month. Has anyone else found gear parts that unexpectedly work across different pieces of equipment?

Oh man, that's a total lifesaver when you find those cross-compatible parts. It's not just stoves and lanterns either. I've had luck with universal O-rings and gaskets from hardware stores working in old camp water pumps and stuff. Saves a fortune over buying the "official" repair kit that's just the same piece in fancy packaging. Makes you wonder how many other common bits are hiding in plain sight.

Totally agree with @the_lily, but gotta say the hardware store o-rings can dry rot faster than the real deal sometimes. Still cheaper to just replace them more often though.
