That $60 flex sensor from eBay was a total dud

Bought a flex sensor off eBay for $60 to test shutter curtain timing on an old Nikon F2. Hooked it up per the schematic, got nothing but noise for 20 minutes. Turned out the seller sent a resistor with a flex sticker slapped on it. Anyone else get burned by counterfeit parts on there?

Paying $60 for a fake flex sensor is like buying a fire extinguisher filled with confetti. Seller probably figured if you're buying weird niche electronics on eBay, you're not gonna test it right away. Hope you left a review warning people, that's just flat out theft.

Just dropping a short review killed the problem for me.
