Just picked a new ultrasonic cleaner for the shop and it's been a game changer

I was stuck between a cheap $80 model from an online store and a proper $350 unit from a tool supplier. Went with the pricier one because it had a heater and a timer. It cut my cleaning time for shutter blades in half, and the results are way more consistent. Anyone else using an ultrasonic cleaner for parts, and what solution do you like best?

But for something like shutter blades, doesn't the heat make a real difference with old grease? My old cheap unit just wouldn't touch some of the dried-up gunk, even after a long soak. The heated solution seems to loosen it up in minutes. What kind of parts are you cleaning that get just as clean without it?

Spending that much seems crazy to me. My basic model does the same job for a fraction of the price. Heaters and timers are just extra things that can break. A simple cleaner with the right solution gets parts spotless. You just have to let it run a bit longer, which is fine. The extra cash could have bought a lot more cleaning fluid.
