My old foreman swore fish tape was better than glow rods for everything
Back in 2019, my foreman Mike told me to stop using fiberglass glow rods on a commercial run in Denver and stick with steel fish tape because it's tougher on long pulls. I ignored him on a 150-foot conduit pull and snapped two glow rods before giving up and using his tape which got it done in 20 minutes. Has anyone else fought the glow rod vs. fish tape debate and found a clear winner?

Ngl your foreman was right though, steel fish tape just handles the long runs way better than glow rods.

20 minutes for a 150 foot run with steel tape sounds about right, but @the_spencer they make glow rods in different lengths and thicknesses too. I had a 300 foot run in Phoenix where the steel tape kept binding up, swapped to a 3/8 inch glow rod and it slid through fine.
