Plywood drawer box blew apart on me yesterday in Denver
I was assembling a set of kitchen drawers using 1/2" baltic birch and my usual dado joinery. Got to the third box and the bottom panel just splintered right along the grain when I tapped it in. Turns out I had the grain running the short way instead of the long way, rookie mistake I know. I ended up cutting a new panel and used some CA glue on the split one to salvage it for a less visible spot. Has anyone else had a brain fart moment where you just forgot basic plywood orientation?

Totally been there, done that. I spent an afternoon trying to force a plywood shelf into a cabinet I built, only to realize I had the grain running the wrong way and the whole thing was off by a quarter inch. Had to scrap it and start over. The CA glue fix is a good move for hidden spots, I've used super glue and sawdust to patch a split edge before and it held up fine.
