I finally hit 500 custom crown molding joints without a single blowout

Been keeping a tally on the shop wall for about 18 months now. Crown molding is my bread and butter but man, those inside corners can just explode on you. I do a lot of work in Victorian homes around Portland where the plaster walls are never square. Not sure if I just got lucky or my coping technique finally clicked but hitting 500 clean joints felt like a personal record. Any of you guys track stuff like this or am I just a weirdo with a Sharpie?

Man I totally get it, I've got a tally system going for my window casing miters going back three years now. Hit 312 flawless ones last month before I got sloppy on a humid Tuesday and blew out a piece of poplar right at the top corner. Those Victorian plaster walls are pure evil though, they never give you a straight shot. My coping saw gets a workout every time I step into one of those houses. Its a small thing but marking those clean joints on the wall keeps me going on the rough days.

Lost three perfect copes last week to a stupid humidity swell, @the_karen knows that plaster wall pain all too well.
