Found a handwritten recipe taped to the coffee shop board that changed my baking week

Last Tuesday I was grabbing a latte downtown and spotted a bulletin board near the counter covered in flyers. There was this faded index card pinned up with a recipe for sourdough banana bread scrawled in pen. I usually ignore those boards since they're all lost cat posters and yoga ads. But something about the handwriting made me snap a photo. I tried it that night and my kids actually ate three slices before dinner. The trick was adding a tablespoon of yogurt to the batter, which I never would have thought of. Now I'm wondering if other people have found legit cooking tips on random boards around town, or was this just a lucky find?

Man that's a solid find. I found a lemon ricotta pancake recipe scrawled on a napkin pinned to a laundromat board once and it turned out amazing. The trick was folding in whipped egg whites separate from the batter which gave them this fluffy texture I still can't get right any other way. I typed it into my phone and now it's the only pancake recipe I use. Sometimes the random stuff people leave around is better than what you find in cookbooks.

Yogurt in banana bread is a game changer, try adding a pinch of salt too.
