Found a hand-written zine pinned up outside the library

I was waiting for a bus last Tuesday and saw this stapled-together mini magazine taped to the cork board outside the downtown library. It was 8 pages of handwritten recipes and doodles about growing tomatoes in small spaces. Has anyone else found weird homemade stuff like that on a board?

Found a full-on handwritten zine about cat behavior shoved into a little free library near my apartment once. It had these doodles of cats doing parkour and the author kept calling them "furry ninjas." I still think about that zine sometimes.

oh wait, those are usually called zine libraries or zine distros, not just random zines. there's actually a whole network of people who leave them on bulletin boards and in little free libraries. i found one about composting once with the most detailed guide to worm bins i've ever seen.
