I heard someone at the coffee shop say they stopped bullet journaling because it took too long to set up each month

I was grabbing a coffee yesterday and overheard a person at the next table telling their friend they gave up on their bullet journal. They said the monthly setup with all the trackers and calendars took them over two hours every time, and it just wasn't worth it. It made me think about my own process. For a while, I was doing the same thing, drawing out fancy spreads with lots of colors. Now I just use a simple one-page calendar grid and a basic habit tracker I can copy in about 15 minutes. The point is to plan my time, not make art, you know? Has anyone else scaled back their setup to keep it going?

My friend's bullet journal looked amazing but she quit for the same reason.

Totally! I switched to a digital template I can just print out, zero setup time now.
