That moment I realized I was paying $45 a month for a gym I hadn't stepped foot in for 4 months
So I'm going through my bank statements last night trying to figure out where all my money keeps going right. And I see this charge from Planet Fitness every single month. I signed up back in January thinking this is the year I get in shape. First month I went like 8 times. Second month maybe 3. Then nothing. Just $45 vanishing into thin air every 30 days. Cancelled it on the spot and put that money straight into my savings account. Anybody else have a subscription they forgot about that was quietly eating their budget?

Lol I used to be one of those people who was like "oh just set it and forget it, it's fine" but then I checked my own statements and found I was paying for some magazine subscription I haven't read in like a year. Changed my whole mindset honestly.

Wait $45 a month for Planet Fitness? I thought their whole thing was the $10 membership. You must have signed up for one of those premium plans with the massage chairs and tanning beds or whatever. I forgot I was paying for a cloud storage service for almost two years before I caught it. $12 a month for something I used once to back up some photos from a vacation. The bank statement thing is brutal though because you just see it every month and your brain goes "yeah that's fine" until one day it's not.
